Thomas Bleha
Thomas Bleha, a freelance writer, is the author of “Down to the Wire” in Foreign Affairs, one of the first articles to warn of America’s fall from global Internet leadership and the possible consequences of that fall. A former Foreign Service Officer and an expert on Japan, he received a prestigious Abe Fellowship from the Japan Foundation’s Center for Global Partnership. That Fellowship launched the five years of research and writing that went into this book and permitted two lengthy stays in Japan.
Educated at the University of Michigan and Columbia University, Bleha lives with his wife, Natasha Simes, in Arlington, Virginia.
