# Phoebe Yang
**Managing Director, Corporate Development**

Ms. Yang is Managing Director at The Advisory Board Company, where she leads corporate and acquisitions strategy for the health care best practices firm. Previously, she served as Senior Advisor to the Chairman on Broadband and General Counsel of the National Broadband Plan Task Force at the Federal Communications Commission. She was Vice President of Corporate Strategy and Development and Vice President of Digital Media at Discovery Communications LLC, as well as Vice President of International Strategy and Policy at AOL Time Warner. She served as Special Coordinator for China Rule of Law under President Bill Clinton and practiced corporate law at Hogan & Hartson, LLP after serving as law clerk to The Honorable William Schwarzer (N.D., California).

Ms. Yang graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a B.A. in government and foreign affairs from the University of Virginia. She received her J.D. from Stanford Law School, where she was President and Editor-in-Chief of the *Stanford Law Review*.
