Jungkyu Suh joined New York University Stern School of Business as an Assistant Professor of Management and Organizations in September 2022.

Suh studies how firms manage the translation of scientific knowledge into technological innovation. He has studied how R&D in the United States has evolved over the past century and analyzed the role of science in facilitating markets for technology and startup entry. His recent work examines why startups are more likely to introduce novel innovations than incumbent firms in the optoelectronics industry. Collectively, his research intersects entrepreneurial strategy and technological innovation, and has been featured in such outlets as the Harvard Business Review, The Economist, Financial Times, and The Atlantic.

Suh received his BSc and MSc degrees from the London School of Economics and his PhD in Business Administration from Duke University.
