Heather Long
Heather Long is The Washington Post’s economics correspondent based in Washington D.C. She covers everything from trade to taxes to trucking. Before joining The Post in 2017, Heather was a senior economics reporter at CNN and a columnist at deputy editor at The Patriot-News in Harrisburg, Pa. when it won the Pulitzer Prize for Local Reporting. Heather started her career at an investment firm in London and earned master’s degrees in financial economics and Medieval literature from Oxford University, where she was a Rhodes Scholar.
