Elizabeth Bynum Sorrell (she/her) is a researcher and facilitator, and is currently a Researcher with the Digital Benefits Network at the Beeck Center for Social Impact + Innovation at Georgetown University. Elizabeth learned to use a range of qualitative and quantitative research methods through her doctoral research on noise pollution in Mexico City, which focused on urban governance and the relationships between residents and city institutions. At the Beeck Center, Elizabeth is continuing to study how end users access government services, and her research at Beeck has focused on digital identity in public benefits in the United States. Elizabeth holds a Bachelor's degree from the University of Chicago in Music and Linguistics and a PhD in Anthropology and Music from the University of Pennsylvania. She is based in Madison, WI.
