Dennis Dotson
Dennis Dotson is a third generation foundryman serving as Chairman of Dotson Iron Castings in Mankato, Minnesota, president of People Driven Performance and prime mover for the Saugus2 next generation manufacturing project. He is a U.S. Navy veteran and a graduate of the University of Notre Dame (1967 BBA) and the University of Chicago (1968 MBA).
Dennis has been very active in the foundry industry since 1976 when he was a founding board member of the Metal Casters of Minnesota. He has served on many industry and community boards and is currently on the American Foundry Society board and will be its president in 2013. Denny is also currently on the boards of Enterprise Minnesota, the Mankato Area Foundation and chair of the National Advisory Board for the NIST/Manufacturing Extension Partnership.
Dennis has a strong commitment to education and is a trustee emeritus of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities (MnSCU), the governing board for the 35 post-secondary state institutions. Dennis and his wife Carole have four children and five grandchildren and reside near Mankato, Minnesota.
