Aric Newhouse

Aric Newhouse

Aric Newhouse is the senior vice president for policy and government relations at the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM). In addition to serving as the NAM’s lead government relations staff member, he is responsible for the development and implementation of the NAM’s broad policy agenda.

Mr. Newhouse joined the NAM in 2007 after more than 11 years of service on Capitol Hill. He began his career with Senator Mike DeWine (R-OH) and then worked with Congressman Michael G. Oxley (R-OH) as a legislative correspondent and legislative assistant. He joined the staff of Senator George V. Voinovich (R-OH) in 1999, where he worked for eight years as a legislative assistant, then as the legislative director and, finally, as chief of staff. As chief of staff, Mr. Newhouse was responsible for all personnel, management, political, press and policy matters.

Mr. Newhouse graduated from Miami University in Ohio with a bachelor of arts in political science and a bachelor of science in secondary social studies education. He also holds a master’s degree in international affairs from the George Washington University.
