Assessing the Competitiveness of North America’s States: The North American Subnational Innovation Competitiveness Index
Event Summary
Today’s modern global economy is increasingly knowledge-, innovation-, and information technology-based. But across North America, which states and provinces are faring best in that competition? Please join ITIF for a virtual event as we release a new report titled the “North American Subnational Innovation Competitiveness Index” which ranks North America’s 92 states on 13 indicators of competitiveness in the increasingly innovation-driven global economy.
This virtual event explored which policies are working best at the state level in North America to drive technology-based economic growth and assess how peer states can further learn from one another in this regard. It also examined how North American policymakers can further deepen economic integration and linkages among states and assess how to make North America an increasingly competitive regional innovation block within the global economy.
