Event Summary
The Department of Energy invests nearly $10 billion a year towards developing cleaner, safer, and more affordable energy. Bringing job-creating technologies to market is a priority of the Department of Energy that it addresses through its network of national laboratories and partnerships with universities and industry. To further this mission, the Department of Energy has taken significant steps to increase support for transitioning breakthrough R&D into transformational products and services. Just recently, the Department of Energy established the Office of Technology Transition, which oversees the transition of government R&D to the private sector.
