Advanced Manufacturing Partnership Presents Policies to Accelerate Advanced Manufacturing Innovation
Event Summary
Manufacturing plays a vital role in America’s economy, and though some recent reports have argued that American manufacturing has rebounded from deep losses in the 2000s, the reality is that recovery is minimal at best, and U.S. manufacturing won’t flourish to its full potential in the absence of robust national traded sector competitiveness policies. The Obama Administration chartered The Advanced Manufacturing Partnership (AMP) 2.0 as an advisory council consisting of industry CEOs, university presidents, and labor leaders precisely to identify such policies. The Council has just released its second report, Accelerating U.S. Advanced Manufacturing. Please join us on Wednesday, December 3 as ITIF hosts a panel discussion with AMP leaders to present the report’s policy recommendations regarding enabling manufacturing innovation, bolstering America’s manufacturing workforce, and improving America’s business climate for manufacturing.
