The Information Technology and Innovation Foundation1101 K Street NW610A Washington District Of Columbia, 20005
Event Summary
Intellectual property theft costs the United States billions of dollars every year and hurts American workers. What can be done to increase enforcement against nations that systematically steal, extort or otherwise gain U.S. IP without paying for it? And what can be done to step up enforcement of IP rights here in the United States?
At a briefing hosted by ITIF and FD, Victoria Espinel, the United States Intellectual Property Enforcement Coordinator (IPEC) at the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), spoke about the Joint Strategic Plan to Combat Intellectual Property Theft released by the White House this summer. Ms. Espinel's presentation was followed by a panel discussion.
